David Gallant

VP of Engineering at Valid8 Financial

David Gallant has extensive work experience in software engineering and management roles in the storage and networking industry. David began their career in 2000 as a Digital Media Designer at Chaparral Network Storage, where they were responsible for designing and maintaining websites, as well as creating marketing collateral. In 2003, they joined Dot Hill Systems as a Software Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer. During their time at Dot Hill Systems, they focused on embedded software development, user experience, and design of web-based interfaces.

In 2011, David moved to NexGen Storage as a Principal Software Engineer and continued to work on software management suites for storage and networking products. David also worked at SanDisk Corporation and Fusion-IO, where they held the role of Principal Software Engineer and contributed to the design and development of software management suites.

In 2015, they returned to NexGen Storage as a Principal Software Engineer, and in 2016, they joined Pivot3 as a Principal Software Engineer and later became a VP of Engineering at VALID8 Financial in 2017.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated technical leadership, a strong understanding of various core technologies, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. David has also been involved in recruiting and training new engineers and has experience working with cross-functional teams located worldwide.

David Gallant pursued their education in architecture, specializing in both digital media and structural engineering. From 1996 to 1999, they attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with a focus on Structural Engineering. Following this, they continued their studies at the University of Colorado Denver from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Master's degree in Architecture, specializing in Architecture & Digital Media.
