Ivan Basart

Ivan Basart has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Ivan began their career in 1999 at British Telecom Spain, where they provided support as a PreSales Engineers. Ivan then worked at Giesecke & Devrient as an R&D Engineer, where they were involved in research, analysis, design, implementation, and testing of different solutions. Ivan also managed projects and acquired requirements. Ivan then joined ANCERT as the Certification Authority Technical Responsible. In this role, they were responsible for administration and exploitation of ANCERT's PKI, as well as coordination of security audits and development of PKIs for customers. After ANCERT, Ivan worked at WISeKey SA as a Security Consultant, focusing on security solutions. Ivan then joined Albalia Interactiva as a Senior Consultant, where they worked until 2011. Since 2011, Ivan has been working as a freelance Consultant, specializing in Tic (Technology, Information and Communication) consulting. In 2012, Ivan co-founded Validated ID and assumed the position of CTO. Ivan has been with Validated ID since then. Throughout their career, Ivan has had experience in a wide range of areas, including PKI, security, payment systems, digital signatures, and GSM applications.

Ivan Basart completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1995 to 2001, they attended the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they obtained a degree in Telecommunications. In 2000 to 2001, they pursued their final degree project at the Université catholique de Louvain, focusing on Computer Vision. Later, in 2004 to 2005, Ivan pursued a PostDegree in Security on Internet at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
