Cliff Newton

Cliff Newton has over 20 years of work experience in the IT industry. Cliff is currently working at ValidaTek, Inc. as an Engineering Lead since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at SAIC for 10 years, where they served as a Data Center Manager from November 2015 to January 2021, and as a Senior Systems Engineer from August 2011 to November 2015. Before SAIC, Cliff worked at Allied Technology Group Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer from February 2005 to September 2011. Cliff also has experience working at Intervise Consultants Inc. as a Network Engineer from July 2003 to February 2005, and at the United States Marine Corps as a Network Engineer/Manager from October 1999 to July 2003. Cliff's roles have involved strategic leadership, infrastructure management, security administration, network support, and system engineering in complex environments for various organizations.

Cliff Newton obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Western Governors University from the period of 2010 to 2019. Prior to this, in the year 2010, they also attended Strayer University for a brief period, focusing on Information Technology - Networking, although they did not mention obtaining a specific degree from that institution. In addition to their formal education, Cliff has obtained several certifications, including ITIL Foundation Level from PeopleCert in April 2020, DevOp Foundation from PeopleCert in November 2019, CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA in May 2016, and CompTIA Security+ also from CompTIA in May 2016.
