Derrick Ball

Derrick Ball has a strong background in system administration and system engineering. Derrick has worked at various companies, starting with Nortel Government Solutions in 1999 and most recently at ValidaTek, Inc. since 2021. Throughout their career, Derrick has been responsible for developing application deployment scripts, application testing, and implementation for all phases of system software/hardware life cycle changes. Derrick is skilled in SCCM configuration management, patch management, and workstation Operating System Deployment (OSD) task sequence builds. Derrick has also gained experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, and administering Windows and Linux systems, as well as assisting with system design, engineering, and integration. Derrick has worked with government agencies such as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), among others.

Derrick Ball's education history includes a degree in Business Management with a field of study in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from James Madison University. Prior to that, they attended Bishop McNamara High School.

In terms of certifications, Derrick has obtained several certifications. Derrick earned their MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) in Windows Server 2016 in April 2018, MCSA in Windows 10 in March 2018, MCSA in Windows Server 2012 in August 2014, MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) in Administering and Deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager in August 2014, and CompTIA Security+ certification in July 2014. Although they have a certification called MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) in Desktop Infrastructure, the institution and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
