Andrés Rodríguez

Andrés Rodríguez has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Andrés is currently serving as a Technical Co-founder at ValidMind Inc., where they are involved in reimagining Model Risk Management for Financial Services and automating model documentation and validation processes.

Prior to this, Andrés worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Doc.ai from 2020 to 2022. During their tenure, they co-invented several patents related to federated learning, differential privacy, and secure multi-party computation. Andrés also led the design and implementation of a cloud-native MLOps platform for the healthcare industry.

From 2017 to 2020, Andrés served as a Software Engineering Manager at Finn AI. Andrés led a cross-functional engineering team in architecting and implementing services for Finn AI's conversational AI solution for banking, resulting in a more scalable product and reduced implementation and deployment costs.

Before joining Finn AI, they worked as a Product Manager at Human API from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they led the development and release of Connect, Human API's critical public-facing application, simplifying the process for users to search, authenticate, and connect with their healthcare providers.

Andrés also has experience as a Co-founder/Lead Developer at Vink Manager, a Game Designer at Boli Games, a CTO at Ciberserenatas, and a Software Engineer at Velez Lab and Vallenato.com. In these positions, they played a vital role in developing various applications and systems, including a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and a music dedication application.

Additionally, Andrés worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Joyent from 2008 to 2015, contributing to the design and implementation of Joyent's Smart Data Center (SDC) private cloud management platform and supporting their Public Cloud infrastructure to improve performance and reliability for customers.

Throughout their career, Andrés has demonstrated expertise in areas such as software development, engineering management, product management, and system architecture. Andrés has made valuable contributions to organizations in the technology, healthcare, gaming, and music sectors.

Andrés Rodríguez pursued their education in the field of engineering. Andrés began their studies at Universidad del Norte in 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. However, they transferred to Universidad de Los Andes before completing their degree. At Universidad de Los Andes, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, graduating in 2007.

In 2008, Andrés Rodríguez briefly attended Universidad de La Sabana, where they pursued a Licentiate degree in Information Technology Project Management. It is unclear whether they completed the program or pursued further studies beyond 2008.
