Matthew Deyell

Matthew Deyell is a Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in designing and building scalable systems. Currently, they work at ValidMind as a Senior Software Engineer and have previously held roles at Meta, Teikametrics, and Amazon Web Services where they focused on backend development and distributed systems. Matthew has expertise in concurrent Python, Kafka, RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL, Snowflake, and Redis, with a strong emphasis on delivering efficient solutions for complex backend challenges. They studied Computer Science at the University of California, where they also pursued a minor in Computer Engineering.
