Amy Twite has over 17 years of work experience in the field of Chemistry. Amy began their career in 2002 as a Research Assistant at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where they exercised rats for investigation into the effects of exercise on various hypoxia studies and assisted with experiments. In 2005, they were a Summer Chemistry Intern at Honeywell FM&T. In 2014, they were a Scientist at Novozymes, where they developed synthetic and purification methods for synthesis of a library of lipid-DNA conjugates for enzyme selection assays and studied and explored the unique behavior of these highly amphipathic molecules. In 2015, they became the Principal Scientist of Research Discovery at Adheren Inc. In 2016, they were a Chemistry Consultant at Valitor, Inc. and a Research Scientist, part time at HJ Science & Technology, Inc. In 2017, they were the CSO at indee labs (YC W17). Currently, they are the Director of Chemistry at Valitor, Inc.
Amy Twite obtained their Bachelor's Degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology from Kansas State University between 2004 and 2008. Amy then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry/Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2014.
