Afonso Xavier

Afonso Xavier currently serves as a Production Supervisor at Valmet, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Afonso worked at Colep Packaging from September 2019 to March 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing a team of approximately 30 operators as a Shift Superintendent, leading process optimization projects, and implementing Kaizen methodologies. Afonso also held the position of Special Projects Manager, focusing on innovation project management, scouting and benchmarking, economic analysis, and managing funded projects. Earlier experience includes a Trainee role at Colep, where Afonso completed a Master Thesis Internship in Quality Management. Afonso holds a Master's degree in Production Management from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and has additional education from Technische Universität Wien and Universidad de Chile.
