Aki Timonen

Aki Timonen is an experienced IT professional specializing in information security and network services, currently serving as Information Security Manager for Infrastructure and previously as IT Service Manager for Network Services at Valmet since November 2021. With extensive expertise in network architecture, Aki held the position of IT Infrastructure Architect at Neles Oyj, a company acquired by Valmet, and was responsible for managing IT network services at Oriola Corporation as IT Network Manager prior to his role at Valmet. Aki's background includes significant contributions to Stora Enso's Global Network Team in various capacities, focusing on LAN and WLAN projects, alongside prior experience in educational IT support and technical roles. Aki is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Cyber Security at Turku University of Applied Sciences, complementing earlier academic achievements, which include an MBA in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology.
