Akshay Joshi

Akshay Joshi is an experienced Lead Engineer in Materials Research and Development at Valmet since April 2021, focusing on materials selection for various industrial applications. Prior to Valmet, Akshay served as Manager of R&D at Jindal Stainless, where responsibilities included new product development and failure analysis of stainless steels. Akshay also held the position of Assistant Manager in R&D at Bharat Forge Ltd, leading projects on structure-property optimization and providing technical support. Additional experience includes roles as a Subject Matter Expert at Cheers Interactive, Research Trainee at Crompton Greaves Limited, and Visiting Faculty in Metallurgy. Akshay holds an M.Tech. in Physical Metallurgy and a B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering, both from COEP Technological University.
