Celso Tacla

President South America at Valmet

Celso Tacla has over 30 years of experience in the paper and pulp industry. Celso began their career in 1986 as a production manager at Cocelpa Cia de Celulose e Papel do Parana. Celso then moved to Gotaverken Energy as sales manager in 1992. In 1998, they became division director at Kvaerner Pulping. Celso remained there until 2006 when they became president of Metso Paper South America, a position they held until 2013. Celso is currently president of South America at Valmet.

Celso Tacla has a degree in High Performance Leadership from IMD Business School, a MSc in Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a degree in Engenharia de Produção from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Celso is currently working as a Chemical Engineer at Universidade Federal do Paraná.

Celso Tacla reports to Pasi Laine, President and CEO. Celso Tacla works with Sami Riekkola - President Automation, Julia Macharey - SVP Human Resources and Operational Development, and Xiangdong Zhu - President China.
