Cliff Smith

Cliff Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the flow control and automation service industries. Currently serving as the Director of MRO & Service and Director of Flow Control Services North America at Valmet since January 2022, following Valmet's acquisition of Neles, Cliff oversees all aspects of the Flow Control Service business in the US and Canada. Previously, as Vice President of Flow Control Services at Neles from January 2020 to December 2021, Cliff was responsible for business operations in the same region after Neles was formed from a demerger with Metso. Cliff's career began at Metso Automation in various roles, including VP of Automation Services, where strategic development and implementation were key responsibilities. Earlier positions included Manufacturing Manager at Worthen Industries and Process Engineer at Shaw Industries. Cliff holds a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Alabama.
