Joel Lapointe

Joel Lapointe is an experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as a project specialist at Valmet, managing engineering repair projects and overseeing multiple initiatives simultaneously. With a strong background in system operation and maintenance within the Canadian Armed Forces, Joel also possesses expertise in application engineering from time at Aldes North America, where responsibilities included customer assistance and production supervision. Previous roles encompassed project management at The Lumenpulse Group, mechanical engineering design work at ETI Converting and BBA Consultants, as well as process improvement leadership during internships with IBM Canada and Rio Tinto. Joel holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure and has completed various relevant certifications in mechanical systems and procurement management.
