John Weierud

John Weierud has extensive experience in the marine automation sector, currently serving as the Director of Marine Automation at Valmet Automation since April 2015. Prior to this role, John was the Director of Marine Automation at Metso Automation from January 2011 to March 2015. With a strong leadership background, John held the position of President & CEO at L-3 Communications Valmarine AS from January 2005 to December 2010. Previous roles include Director of Sales & Marketing and Senior Technical Advisor for Marine & Navy at CAE Valmarine AS and Service Manager at Valmarine AS. Early in John's career, valuable experience was gained as a Service/Project Engineer at Lyngsø-Valmet Marine AS and as an Officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy's Submarine Squadrone from January 1989 to January 1991.
