Markus Rintala is a lead engineer specializing in civil, structural, and architectural design, currently based in Portugal. Markus began their career as a site engineer trainee at YIT Rakennus Oy and has since held various engineering roles, including structural engineer positions at AFRY and Pöyry. In addition to engineering work, Markus served as a course assistant at Aalto University, supporting students in structural engineering and Tekla Structures. Markus currently works as the CSA lead engineer at Valmet, having obtained a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Aalto University and a background in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki.
