John W.

John W. has extensive work experience in the field of data science and software engineering. John currently works at Valo as a Senior Staff Data Scientist, previously holding positions as a Staff Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist. Prior to Valo, John worked at Numerate, Inc., where they were a Senior Data Scientist responsible for implementing and testing new modeling techniques. John also developed pharmacokinetic and QSAR models and built a suite of protein models to identify potential toxicity risks. Earlier in their career at Numerate, they worked as an Applications Scientist, curating biochemical and functional assay data and building predictive models for drug discovery. Before joining Numerate, John worked as a Scientific Software Engineer, developing mathematical models for drug concentration tracking and creating software interfaces. John also served as a Lab Technician at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

John W. obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. John also earned another Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the same institution. Later on, John pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Physics from Columbia Engineering, which they completed in 2022.
