Katy Ma

Katy Ma is a seasoned Staff Product Designer at Valon, having joined the company in July 2020 as the first member of the product team during its pre-series A phase. With extensive experience in product design, Katy played a crucial role in developing ValonX, expanding offerings to include mortgage origination and related services. As a founding product designer, Katy helped create the company's initial servicing system, enabling Valon to achieve Fannie Mae approval within two years. Prior experience includes positions at Mark43, where Katy designed tools for first responders, as well as internships at Google and Microsoft, focusing on user experience and interface design. Katy also served as Co-Director of the Wellesley College hackathon, WHACK, and contributed to the MIT Media Lab's Civic Media group project, Media Cloud. Katy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts & Sciences from Wellesley College and further educational credentials from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
