Ryan Lau

Ryan Lau is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and business operations. Currently serving as the General Manager of Default at Valon since September 2023, Ryan previously held multiple roles at Newfront from October 2019 to September 2023, including Head of Product, where leadership in Product Management and Product Operations led to the launch of new offerings in Employee Benefits and data advisory products. As Head of Business Operations, Ryan contributed to significant growth initiatives during Newfront's transition from series B to series D funding. Prior experience includes a tenure at McKinsey & Company, where an engagement manager role focused on growth strategies for software and hardware companies, complemented by involvement in the pre-IPO ecosystem as a fellow with Fuel by McKinsey. Ryan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a high school diploma from Punahou School.
