Michel Geiger has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Michel began their career in 2009 at Raiffeisen Switzerland as a Commercial Trainee and later worked as a Private Client Advisor. Michel then joined the Swiss Armed Forces, serving as a Platoon Leader and later as a Deputy and Company Commander. In 2014, they became the Chairman of the Board at NG Bau GmbH. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Private Client Advisor at Raiffeisen Switzerland. In 2021, they became a Guest Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW. Currently, they are employed at Valora Group, where they have held various positions, starting as a Junior Treasury Manager and progressing to the role of Treasury Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Co-Head Group Treasury and is also part of the Member Pension Fund Investment Committee.

Michel Geiger has a diverse education history. Michel started their education journey at Vocational Training Center Brugg from 2009 to 2012, where they gained the qualification of a Commercial Trainee with Federal Vocational Baccalaureate. In 2014, they obtained a certification in Communication and Information on team level from SVF Schweizerische Vereinigung für Führungsausbildung. Additionally, they received a Diploma of Information Technology from SIZ AG in July 2011.

Moving on to higher education, from 2014 to 2018, they attended the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration with a major in Banking & Finance and a minor in Financial Risk Management. In 2017, they participated in a business administration program at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, and completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc).

Further expanding their academic qualifications, from 2018 to 2022, Michel pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Business & Economics with a major in Monetary Economics and Financial Markets at the University of Basel. Simultaneously, in 2021, they completed a Leadership Course at Höhere Kaderausbildung der Armee HKA.

In terms of international experiences, Michel attended the Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS (Institute) for a winter school program in 2016.

Looking ahead, Michel has plans to further their technical knowledge in tanks by undertaking the Technical Course I Tank 2nd part (Technischer Lehrgang I Panzer 2. Teil) at the Swiss Armed Forces College in 2023.

Michel Geiger also possesses several certifications. In 2012, they attained the Diplôme d’Etudes en langue française DELF B2 from Ministère de l'Éducation nationale. Furthermore, in the same year, they obtained the First Certificate in English FCE B2 from the University of Cambridge. Continuing their language proficiency, they earned the Preliminary English Test PET B1 from the University of Cambridge in 2010.
