Modit Ohri

Modit Ohri has a strong background in finance and consulting. Modit is currently a Vice President at Valor Equity Partners, where they focus on helping fast-growing startups overcome constraints during their rapid growth phase. Modit has developed financial decision-making models and implemented cost-saving strategies to impact the bottom line. Modit enjoys working with startup founders, CEOs, and agile teams.

Before joining Valor Equity Partners, Modit founded and served as CEO of Globppack, a greenfield plastics manufacturing business. Over the course of seven years, they grew the business by more than 500% and developed a global customer/supplier base. Modit used their analytical skills from tax consulting and manufacturing experience to create highly customized plant, machinery, and processes that significantly reduced production costs.

Prior to Globppack, Modit worked at Mahabir Industries as a Manager, where they were responsible for process improvement and new product development in the industrial packaging industry. Modit utilized their multidimensional analysis skills and implemented upgrades to meet international standards.

Modit's work experience began at EY, where they held multiple roles in tax consulting. As a Tax Senior Consultant, they supervised a team and successfully delivered assignments for notable companies. Modit designed a new system that reduced the tax credit comparison process from 7 days to 1 day. As a Tax Consultant, they conducted extensive research and developed a tax position that was chosen by the EY Knowledge Centre for use across EY India. Modit also created a weekly newsletter, "EY Aviation Tax and Regulatory Alert," to disseminate important information.

Modit Ohri obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from Hansraj College in 2008. In 2011, they completed their Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. In 2019, Modit earned the CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online. From 2020 to 2021, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and General Management at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. In 2021, Modit also obtained a Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt certification from Purdue University. In 2022, they completed the Legal Strategy for Business certification from Kellogg Executive Education. Modit plans to continue their education by pursuing a Postgraduate Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning - Business Applications at the Texas McCombs School of Business from 2023 to 2024. Modit has also acquired additional certifications in AI Applications for Growth and Legal Strategy for Business from Kellogg Executive Education.
