Peter Märkl

Peter Maerkl currently serves as Group General Counsel at Bitcoin Suisse AG since November 2023. Prior to this role, Peter held several significant positions including General Counsel at Valour Europe AG from August 2022 to November 2023 and Head of Legal at Amun Holdings Limited / 21Shares AG from July 2021 to August 2022. Peter's legal career includes experience as an Attorney-at-Law at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, and various executive director roles at UBS, where responsibilities spanned UHNW/Global Family Offices, Group Regulatory Relations & Strategic Initiatives, and Legal for Global Emerging Markets. Earlier in the career, Peter was a Vice President & Counsel at Credit Suisse and an Attorney-at-Law at Clifford Chance. Peter holds multiple law degrees, including a Dr./Ph.D. from the University of Konstanz and an LL.M. from Emory University School of Law, and is a member of the New York Bar.
