Nick Wright

Nick Wright has a diverse work background in the legal field. Nick is currently the Head of Legal at VALR, a global cryptocurrency exchange. In this role, they oversee regulatory compliance, governance, company secretarial tasks, international expansion, and operational duties. Prior to VALR, Nick worked as a Legal Manager at KPMG South Africa from 2021 to 2022. Nick also gained valuable experience as a Legal Consultant at CMS RM Partners and as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc. Nick'sexpertise includes areas such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and finance.

Nick Wright obtained their Matric (Grade 12) from Sacred Heart College in Johannesburg from 1994 to 2008. Nick then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences, with a focus on Marine Biology and Zoology, from the University of Cape Town, from 2009 to 2011. Nick furthered their education at the University of Cape Town by earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from 2012 to 2014. In addition to their academic qualifications, Nick also achieved a Notary Public certification from the High Court of South Africa.
