Alex Cox

Alex Cox is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in building and scaling web applications for growth-stage companies. They began their career as a web developer while freelancing from 2007 to 2010 and contributed as an illustrator at Coastal Archeological Resources from 2005 to 2007. Alex played a pivotal role at Kickstarter as a senior software engineer from 2011 to 2016, helping to scale the platform during a period of rapid growth. They served as the founding engineer at Active Image from 2021 to 2023 and also held positions at Clubhouse Software and Patch. Alex holds a B.A. in English and Classics from The University of Texas at Austin, earned in 1999.
