Pedro Sousa

Pedro Sousa is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in cloud technology and information security. Currently serving as the Technical Lead for the EU Region at Valtech, Pedro oversees a diverse team in the European Cloud Skills Center and contributes to strategic management decisions. In addition, as Information Security Officer, responsibilities include integrating Valtech Portugal into the Global ISMS and ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards. Previous roles include Azure Tech Lead at Bizdirect, Senior IT Operations Analyst at Basecone, and Systems Engineer positions at DevScope and the Instituto de Gestão de Fundos de Capitalização da Segurança Social. Pedro holds a Master of Science degree in Networks and Communication Systems from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto.
