Sam Haraway, PhD, is a Sr. Principal UX Researcher at Valtech, bringing over 10 years of expertise in the UX research process, from study design to data synthesis. They previously served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis, where they focused on user-technology interactions in sport and presented findings at various conferences. Sam's diverse experience includes roles as a UI/UX Designer and Researcher in freelance settings, a UX Designer at Apostrophe, Inc., and leading research strategy at Kin + Carta. They prioritize collaboration and insightful storytelling to merge user needs with business goals. Currently, Sam is pursuing a BA in Sociology and Political Science at Coe College.
