Ruben E. Melendez

Ruben E. Melendez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ruben E. is currently the Founder and CEO of VALTICS, a Value-as-a-Service (VaaS) boutique firm focused on enabling growth for companies through emerging technologies and Industry 4.0. Ruben also founded and serves as the CEO of the StrategyOps Institute, a role they took on in 2021.

Prior to their current endeavors, Ruben served as a Strategic Partner and former President at Global Lynx Inc. Ruben E. launched the organization in the USA, developed its go-to-market strategy, and currently serves as an executive partner and advisor.

Ruben's extensive experience includes being the CEO and Founder of Glomark-Governan, where they led the development of the Excellence in Value Creation (EVC) framework. This framework enables business case development, strategic planning, innovation, value selling, and continual business improvement, among other functions.

Before Glomark-Governan, Ruben held various positions at ABB, including Services BU Marketing VP and Director of Marketing and Sales Operations. During their time at ABB, they developed the Building on Value program and was responsible for starting a new department to centralize proposal preparation for the global sales force.

Earlier in their career, Ruben was the Product Marketing Manager for CMC Software & Actuators at Combustion Engineering, where they traveled globally to introduce new products and train the sales force. Ruben E. also worked as an Account Manager at AccuRay Corporation, consistently exceeding sales targets and selling automation control systems and services to industrial customers.

Ruben began their career as a Design Engineer at Thermo Electron while attending college.

Ruben E. Melendez completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional from 1976 to 1979. Additionally, they pursued Accounting/Finance studies at EDECA - Escuela de Estudios Comerciales y Administrativos in 1976 to 1977. Ruben E. Melendez also holds a certification in Master in Excellence in Value Creation EVC and PVMP from Glomark -Governan, though the specific date of attainment is not specified.
