Tom Wiessing

Tom Wiessing has extensive experience in various roles related to healthcare revenue cycle management. Tom'smost recent position is as Vice President of Operations - Physician Services at Value-Based RCM since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant independently from February 2015 to February 2021. Tom also served as the Director of Encounters at the State of Illinois from December 2013 to February 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant for their own business from July 2008 to November 2013, and as the Executive Director of Operations at Springfield Service Corporation from June 2002 to June 2008. Tom also held the position of Vice President of Operations at MedPlans Partners from January 2001 to January 2002. Additionally, Tom worked as a Management Consultant at Robert E. Nolan, Inc from October 1999 to November 2000, and as a Claims and Product Manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City from May 1998 to October 1999. Before entering the healthcare industry, Tom served as a Platoon Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from September 1979 to September 1992. Tom Wiessing's early career also includes a role as a Production Supervisor at Firestone from August 1995 to August 1996.

Tom Wiessing obtained a BA in Health Services Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield from 1992 to 1995. Following this, they pursued a MHA in Health Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completing it from 1997 to 1998.
