Al Emerick is the founder of ValueMapping and a former vice president of marketing and communications at Hospital Physician Partners. Emerick has more than 15 years of experience in communications and marketing, including brand management, media relations, and event planning.

Emerick began their career as a member of HPP's senior executive leadership team, where they were responsible for leading company re-branding through two acquisitions. HPP ascended to the #3 market leader during their tenure, growing from $130M to $335M in revenue.

As VP of Marketing & Communications, Emerick oversaw national education and development conferences for more than 1500 clinicians. Al also coordinated crisis communication strategy and management with CEO and executive teams focused on internal and shareholder communications, and hospital client and community relations.

In their role as a start-up culture communications and marketing department leader, Emerick defined KPIs and integrated tools organizationally to measure results. Al managed budgeting, planning, and core systems for departmental operations. Additionally, they led the creation and implementation of proprietary SaaS technology to measure ROI for all social media, live and virtual event strategy, content creation, advertising campaigns, and media relations across 20+ markets.

Al Emerick has an EMBA from Jacksonville University in Executive Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts from Jacksonville University in Speech Theater, Communications. Al also attended St. Augustine High School and Madison Simis/Meadows.
