Software Engineer

Austin P. is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the gaming and technology sectors. Currently at Valve Corporation since June 2016, Austin focuses on developing features for Steam Input, the Steam Deck, and the Steam client, having been the primary developer for Steam Input since 2017. Prior experience includes serving as an Embedded Software Engineer and Technical Lead at Synapse Product Development, where Austin was pivotal in creating the firmware for the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, the first self-lacing shoe. Austin has also contributed to firmware projects at Zodiac Inflight Innovations and Innovative Converged Devices, covering a range of industries from aerospace to consumer electronics. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Washington, earned in 2010.
