Baek-Woon Lee

Baek-woon Lee is a distinguished display architect with extensive experience in the design and development of advanced display technologies. Currently serving as a Display Architect at Valve Corporation since January 2023, Baek-woon previously worked at Microsoft from June 2020 to December 2022, focusing on HDR Display Technology and product development for MS Surface products. Prior to Microsoft, Baek-woon was the Chief Scientist at BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., where strategic planning for AMOLED technology was a key responsibility. Baek-woon's academic background includes a professorship at Korea University and significant roles at Samsung Display and Samsung Electronics, where notable contributions were made in automotive displays, AMOLED product development, and algorithm enhancement for display technologies. Baek-woon holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a bachelor's degree in Physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
