Rene Knab has extensive experience in medical technology and project management, having worked in various leadership roles within the healthcare sector. They served as a research associate at Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf from 2000 to 2005, before moving to Herzzentrum Leipzig, where they progressed from deputy department head to department head of medical technology between 2005 and 2017. Rene later held the position of consulting manager at VAMED from 2018 to 2021 and currently leads the medical information systems department at VAMED Servicemanagement Europe, while also managing projects on information security at Helios Kliniken GmbH. Rene holds a degree in biomedical engineering from Fachhochschule Jena, awarded in 1999.
