Travis started their career in 2000 as a Technical Lead Engineer at Esurance. There they designed and developed the company's Partner Web Services. This application allowed third-party agents and online insurance aggregators to offer Esurance car insurance quotes and sell policies through their systems. The Web service architecture used OOD principles, XML/XSLT, and SOAP to deliver the industry-leading partner technology solution. This application accounted for over 30% of all new Esurance policies.

In 2004, they left Esurance to start their own company. There they designed and developed the world's first automated poker bot, beating human players at "single table tournaments" by >11% over thousands of games. The system used game theory, advanced player modeling, neural nets, and other advanced strategies. Travis sold the technology after proving the capabilities in real-world scenarios.

In 2006, they joined Administrative Software Applications, Inc. as their COO. Travis was there until 2017 when they joined Vanco Payment as their Chief Product Officer.
