Tom Wright is the General Director of Vancouver Opera, a position held since 2020, after a notable 16-year tenure with the organization. Growing up in North Vancouver, they have fostered a vibrant arts community and overseen the creation of over 50 productions, including seminal works like *Eugene Onegin* and *West Side Story*. Tom played a key role in establishing the Michael & Inna O’Brian Opera Centre and created the Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program, which supports emerging opera singers. Their earlier experience includes roles as Director of Artistic Planning and Director of Production & Artistic Administration at various opera companies, as well as education in Technical Theatre from The Banff Centre.
