Barak Laks

Barak Laks is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative analysis and portfolio management, currently serving as a Quantitative Analyst and Deputy Portfolio Manager at VanEck since 2017. Prior to this role, Barak held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at both Cohanzick Management, LLC and Cedarview Capital Management. Previous experience includes serving as a Strategist at Continuum Investment Management, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Member at Alpha Beta Capital, and Co-CIO/Partner at The LongChamp Group. Barak's educational background includes two Master of Science degrees in Financial Mathematics and Mathematics from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Yale University.
