Charl Malan

Charl Malan is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in the metals and mining sector. As a Senior Metals & Mining Analyst at VanEck since 2003, Charl conducts research and develops investment strategies within the global metals and mining universe. Prior to this role, Charl served as Vice President at JP Morgan from 2000 to 2003, focusing on research and sales in global natural resources. Additionally, Charl held the position of Vice President at Standard Bank Group, where responsibilities included research analysis in the agriculture and food sector as well as management of Standard Bank Namibia Asset Management. Charl holds an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria and Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool.
