Eric Fine is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in emerging markets. Since April 2009, Eric has served as Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, and Head of Active EM Debt Management at VanEck, focusing on managing portfolios of emerging market bonds in various currencies. Prior to this, Eric spent 14 years at Morgan Stanley, where roles included Managing Director of Global Emerging Markets Proprietary Trading, Global Emerging Markets Research, and EMEA Economics and Fixed Income Strategy, achieving one of the fastest promotions to Managing Director in the firm's history. Earlier in the career, Eric was the Director of Russian Operations at the IFC/Harvard Institute for International Development, where significant contributions included designing Russia's first securities clearing system. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
