Brian McCarthy is currently the Chief Risk Officer of the Retail Investor Group at Vanguard, where they lead initiatives aimed at providing millions of individual investors with a range of financial products and services. Previously, they served as Principal and Global Head of Investment Operational Risk, overseeing risk management within the investment lifecycle. They have also held multiple leadership roles in the Retail Division, including Head of Retail Investor Services and Head of Investor Trading Services. Brian earned a B.S. in Finance from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Saint Joseph's University, and holds several FINRA licenses.
