Emily Cottle

Emily Cottle is the Head of Archives & Knowledge Management at Vanguard, where they lead the Vanguard History Center and engage employees through educational experiences related to the company’s history. Prior to this role, they served as the Lead Corporate Archivist at The Winthrop Group, Inc., where they established corporate archives and developed policies and outreach initiatives. Emily's experience spans various institutions, including the Delaware State University, where they formalized the University Archives and Special Collections Department, and several internships at notable organizations such as the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. They hold a B.A. in History and Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University and a Master’s in Library and Information Science with a focus on Archives Management from Simmons University.
