John Collins, CIMA®, ChFC®, currently serves as a Financial Advisor in Vanguard's Private Advisory Services division, where responsibilities include serving Vanguard clients since November 2020. Previously, John held the position of National Key Accounts Director at Oberweis Securities from June 2011 to September 2019, focusing on developing distribution relationships with broker dealers and independent investment advisory firms. Additional experience includes roles as Sr. Vice President at Persimmon Capital Management LP, Senior Investment Consultant at Valley Forge Investment Consultants, Vice President at Van Kampen Investments, and Senior Vice President at Advisorport, Inc., a firm co-founded by John that provided investment services to regional banks and brokerages. Earlier in John's career, leadership roles included Managing Director at Berwind Financial Group and President at Valley Forge Investment Consultants, where the investment focus transitioned to include wealthy families and institutional clients. John is a graduate of Rockford University with a BS in Economics obtained between 1977 and 1980.
