Vanilla Labs is a premium natural vanilla company based in Scotland, reimagining how vanilla is grown, cured, and understood, from commodity flavour to cultivated ingredient.

In a global market dominated by synthetic vanillin, truly natural vanilla represents less than 1% of supply. Yet demand for traceable, high-quality, origin-led flavour is accelerating across food, fragrance, and wellness. Vanilla Labs exists to meet that demand with rigour, transparency, and intention.

Alongside direct partnerships with trusted growers across the equatorial belt, we are pioneering the cultivation of vanilla in Scotland. Through controlled environments and applied research, we are exploring what it means to grow and cure vanilla outside its traditional geography, and how process, climate, and care shape flavour.

Our work is strengthened through collaborations with leading research institutions and experts, including the James Hutton Institute, supporting our approach to cultivation, curing, and climate-resilient supply systems.

Green vanilla beans are cured and refined in Scotland using a research-driven approach that combines traditional knowledge with modern process design. Each batch is treated as a study in origin, method, and outcome, unlocking terroir-specific profiles while improving consistency, yield, and quality.
