Ruyan Chen

Ruyan Chen is a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta, focusing on Questionnaire Automation and Self Serve (Growth) since January 2023. Prior experience includes a tenure at Google from September 2016 to January 2023, where Ruyan developed features to enhance editing and publishing workflows in Google Web Designer, coordinated cross-team projects within the Google Ads ecosystem, and significantly improved Search UI infrastructure. Ruyan also created a versioning system for server-side rendering on Android and conducted over 100 software engineering interviews while serving on a hiring committee and teaching developer workflow orientation classes. Ruyan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, earned in 2016.
