Jeff Beard

Jeff Beard has a vast work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jeff started their career at Nortel Networks in 1993, where they worked as a Software Engineer, Systems Test Engineer, and later became the QA Manager until 2002.

In 2002, Jeff joined VisionAIR as a Development Manager, responsible for the development and maintenance of VisionRMS and VisionFBR applications. Jeff was promoted to Director of Software Development in 2004, where they oversaw the growth of the Vision Public Safety Suite and served as the technical and architectural leader for the company.

After a successful tenure at VisionAIR, Jeff joined Tritech Software Systems / CentralSquare Technologies in 2011 as the Director of Software Engineering, where they played a key role in the growth and success of the flagship records management system and supporting product portfolio. Jeff provided technical leadership, conducted intellectual property due diligence, and assessed products for multiple M&A events.

In 2020, Jeff joined CentralSquare Technologies as the Vice President of Engineering, heading the engineering division for the public safety product portfolio. Jeff was responsible for the software development lifecycle of over 30 products and defined the technology strategy for a $35 million R&D investment, leading a team of 350 software professionals remotely and globally distributed.

Jeff's leadership and engineering expertise led him to their next role as the Vice President of Engineering at SchoolPass / Raptor Technologies, LLC in 2022. Jeff led the Development, DevOps QA, and Product organizations, successfully guiding the acquisition of SchoolPass by Raptor Technologies in April 2023.

Currently, Jeff holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at Vantaca since 2023.

Jeff Beard attended the College of Charleston from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Following their undergraduate studies, Jeff Beard pursued further education at Clemson University Graduate School, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, Jeff has obtained a Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance, although specific information regarding the month and year of completion is unavailable.
