Tom Cheesbrough

Tom Cheesbrough is a Chartered Civil Engineer and P3M professional with over 15 years of experience in mission-critical programme management across diverse sectors, including Defence and data centre development. They currently contribute to the design engineering team at Vantage Data Centers, focusing on sustainability and digital innovation in engineering design for hyperscale projects in the EMEA region. Previously, Tom held roles such as Head of Business Unit at the UK Ministry of Defence, where they led a multidisciplinary team in infrastructure consultancy. They also served as a Military Operations Planning Officer for Strategic Command, managing operational drawdown efforts in Afghanistan. Tom earned their BEng in Civil Engineering from Cardiff University and advanced degrees, including an MSc in Civil Engineering and an MA in Military Security Policy and Strategy.
