Patrick Gonzalez is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems and firmware development. Currently serving as Software Engineer IV at Sterling Medical Devices since July 2015, Patrick previously held the position of Staff Embedded Controls Software/Firmware Engineer at IBM Corp Inc. from May 2002 to March 2014. Expertise includes high power control firmware, thermal, voltage, and current monitoring, as well as error detection and fault isolation. Proficient in embedded Linux, networking firmware, and various communication protocols such as SPI, RS422/485, and I2C. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from SUNY New Paltz and an Associate of Science in Engineering Physics from SUNY Orange County Community College.
