Engineering Manager, Electrification R&D Mechanical Systems at Vantage Power

Rob Murton has a wealth of experience in engineering and environmental roles. From 2013 to present, they have held the positions of Engineering Manager, Electrification R&D Mechanical Systems, Chief Mechanical Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer at Vantage Power. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Graduate Engineer at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, where they designed, modified, and implemented manufacturing fixtures and processes for development F1 engine parts, designed tooling to assist in the assembly and testing of F1 engine & KERS subassemblies/components, and created detailed component, assembly and stage drawings for a range of applications. From 2008 to 2011, they were an HAS & Environmental Assistant at Icore International Limited, where they were responsible for risk assessing, health monitoring, training, participating in the safety and environmental committees, reducing waste & improving recycling, monitoring energy usage and setting reduction targets, and analysing legislation and corresponding with suppliers for quality issues.

Rob Murton received their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Motorsport Engineering from Brunel University London in 2011. In 2017, they obtained an Inventor Certified Professional certification from Autodesk.
