Ian Churcher

Ian Churcher is an accomplished leader in the field of drug discovery, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at Arvinas and VantAI, and as Chief Executive Officer at Janus Drug Discovery Consulting Ltd. Previously, Ian held key positions at Amphista Therapeutics Limited as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, overseeing innovative protein degradation projects. With experience at BenevolentAI as SVP of Drug Discovery and a Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford, Ian has a track record of applying advanced methodologies and AI approaches to address drug discovery challenges. Ian's career also includes significant contributions at GlaxoSmithKline as Head of Protein Degradation Discovery Performance Unit, and earlier roles at Scinovo and Merck Sharp & Dohme, leading efforts in early-stage chemistry and CNS drug development. Academically, Ian holds a D.Phil in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford and completed post-doctoral work at The University of Texas at Austin.
