Matthias Grass

Matthias Grass currently serves as VP of R&D Strategy & Operations at VantAI, with prior experience at the same company in various roles including Senior Director and Director of R&D Strategy and Operations, and Product Manager. Between September 2020 and May 2023, Matthias worked as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence in biopharma R&D. Earlier, Matthias was a Machine Learning Engineer at Nomoko, where the focus was on developing Deep Learning models, and held a Software Engineering Internship in Computer Vision at Nomoko. Academic involvement includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at ETH Zürich and interning in R&D at Sensirion. Matthias holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Bioengineering from ETH Zürich and has completed a Master Thesis at Harvard University. Additional education includes an exchange semester at NTNU specializing in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich.
