David Hunter

Sr. Principal RF System Engineer at Vanteon Corp

David Hunter began their work experience in 1985 as an Engineering co-op at REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., where they worked on telephone switching systems. David then moved on to Harris RF Communications in 1987, where they held the position of Lead Electrical Engineer and focused on designing VHF tactical radio products. In 1997, they joined Acterna (formerly Wavetek) as a Staff RF Engineer, designing circuitry for CATV test equipment. From 2002 to 2013, Hunter worked at Ultra Electronics Flightline Systems as a Principal RF Engineer, specializing in software-defined VHF receivers for anti-submarine warfare applications. Starting in 2013, they worked at First Consulting as an Electrical Engineer, concentrating on contract engineering work and utilizing Python for test applications. In 2014, Hunter became a Senior Electrical Engineer at SkuTek Instrumentation, developing instrumentation for particle physics experiments before transitioning to their current role at Vanteon Corporation in 2017 as a Senior Principal RF System Engineer, providing RF and system design support to multiple clients.

David Hunter completed their education at the Rochester Institute of Technology. David earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1987. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field, which they completed in 1994. In addition to their formal education, David obtained a General Radiotelephone Operators License from the FCC in February 1990.
