Marty Sprinzen is the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Vantiq. Marty has over 30 years of experience in the software industry, and has been instrumental in the development and deployment of distributed applications.
Sprinzen began their career in software at Ingres Corporation in 1984, where they held various engineering and product development positions over four years. Marty then moved to Candle Corporation, where they served as VP of Product Development for four years.
In 1988, Sprinzen co-founded Nastec Software, a company that developed enterprise software for mainframe computers. Marty served as CEO of Nastec for one year before joining Ingres Corporation as VP of International Operations. Marty held this position for two years before becoming Ingres Corporation's CEO in 1991.
While at Ingres Corporation, Sprinzen oversaw the development of Forte Software, a pioneer in enabling Global 10,000 companies to empower their customers through the Internet. Forte's software allowed for the development and deployment of distributed applications beyond what was previously possible. Forte went public in 1995 (FRTE). In 2000, Forte Software was acquired by Sun Microsystems for $1.21B (at close of transaction), providing a 50x return to its early investors.
After the sale of Forte Software, Sprinzen co-founded Vantiq in 2001. Vantiq is a software company that provides real-time decision support systems for organizations across various industries. Sprinzen has served as Vantiq's CEO since its inception, and under their leadership the company has become a leading provider of real-time decision support systems.
Marty Sprinzen received their BSEE from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
