Patrick Schultz has worked in the legal and telecommunications industries since 2010. In 2010, they worked as a Legal Intern for Richard Spoor, Attorney at Law, where they researched and helped draft written arguments for major civil litigation involving mining law and workers' compensation law in South Africa. In 2011, they worked as a Summer Associate for Rosenau & Rosenau, where they researched for litigation concerning civil, family, and criminal law cases in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
From 2012 to 2020, Patrick Schultz worked at Hausfeld as an Attorney. During this time, they created and managed a client recruitment team of 40 individuals across 6 countries to build worker representation in the largest class action lawsuit in the history of the African continent. Patrick was also a key member on the litigation and settlement team, playing a pivotal role in securing a landmark 500 million dollar settlement for hundreds of thousands of clients across Southern Africa. Additionally, they were a key member of business development teams across the United States, African and European offices, leading to 30M+ in revenue for the firm.
In 2018, Patrick Schultz took on the role of Director of Partnerships and Outreach at Humanity Press. In this role, they identified potential partners by successfully determining product and market fit in multiple countries around the world to create innovative products to accomplish client objectives and grow company revenue. Patrick was also responsible for a key partnership with the South African government to create a customized contract onboarding application for a youth employment drive.
In 2020, Patrick Schultz joined Vanu, Inc. as the Director of Strategic Partnerships. In this role, they are responsible for effectively coordinating with mobile network operators, regulators, on the ground stakeholders and Vanu's engineering, product and data science teams. Additionally, they also served as an Expansion Consultant for Loon, where they assisted with their global expansion by coordinating interactions between engineering and operations teams in Mountain View and key stakeholders and partner networks on the ground in Africa.
Patrick Schultz received their Doctor of Law (JD) from American University Washington College of Law between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2006 and 2008.
